What is the relationship between packet.ai and hosted.ai?
packet.ai is the developer-facing product of Hosted AI Inc., a US company. Hosted AI builds and operates the underlying GPU cloud platform; packet.ai is the product layer built on top of it. The same engineering team is behind both.
How long has the team been working on infrastructure?
Our founders have been building hosting and cloud infrastructure since the mid-1990s. That long history is why we move quickly. We've scaled platforms like this before, just not on Blackwell-class GPUs.
Are you funded? Profitable?
Yes. packet.ai is well-funded through a combination of revenue and outside capital. We don't share specific numbers publicly, but our runway and growth let us hold prices low without venture-burn pressure.
Where are you based?
Headquartered in San Jose, California. The team works globally; capacity is operated across US East, US West, and EU regions.
Are you hiring?
Yes. Systems engineers, SREs, ML platform engineers, and customer-facing roles. We hire remotely across most time zones. Email help@packet.ai with a CV; no cover letter needed.
How do you think about pricing long-term?
Our 50%-below-market position isn't a promo. It's an economic outcome of higher GPU utilization via dynamic scheduling. As long as the platform stays efficient, the pricing stays competitive. We won't bait-and-switch.
Do you take outside investment?
We have. We're selective. We only work with investors who understand infrastructure and don't pressure us to optimize for vanity metrics. Founder-controlled by design.
